It's warming up and the trout are starting to bite. When it starts warming up the Creek Chubs and Silverside's start to pull up to bite as well as the trout. On year-round trout streams Adam and Steven knows when the fish start to pull up to bite. Around the end of February and the beginning of March is when the fish start to pull up and bite. Especially when it is around 60 degree temperatures. But the fish are a little finicky and they want to bite certain things. When the Trout start to bite Adam and Steven fish with certain things. They fish with a Rapala X-Rap Jerkbait in the small sizes, a Countdown, or a Ultra lite Minnow. They will also throw Berkley Powerbait wigglers or Powerbait trout worms and Berkley Gulp! Earthworms. Bread or corn will work as well. Adam and Steven uses these baits on Berkley Trilene 6lb or 8lb test line. To the right is a great new Rapala jerkbait called the Clackin' Minnow. Try these baits the next time you go Spring Trout Fishing.
