Trout season is winding down in North Georgia and they are still biting. The creeks are cooler and the bigger trout are starting to bite more. We have many favorite fall trout baits that we do great on. If you are going to throw a small hardbait for trout, throw a Rapala Countdown in size one or three. We fish it with jerks and pause's or we just reel it in, depending how the fish want it. Spinners are good fall baits as well, we throw a Mepps XD spinner in the small sizes or a Joe's Fly Spinner. Bread and small trout worms work great this time of year as well. If you are fly fishing, try a small nymph or a Wooly Bugger. Try these baits and techniques and you will catch fall trout.
