Shimano's Symetre spinning reel is one of the best spinning reels on the market today. We use it for drop-shotting, shaky heads, and medium sized crankbaits. This is one of the toughest spinning reels we have ever fished with as well. It costs around $100 but it is well worth the money. If you want a quality spinning reel buy the Shimano Symetre.

The new Rapala Scatter Rap Shad is an awesome bait. It is a great bait for a reaction strike because it has such an erratic action. Throw it around points and docks and other structures and you will get bit. Be sure to throw the Scatter Rap when the Bass are schooling as well. This is a great buy and it is hand tuned and tank tested just like all of Rapala's other baits. The Berkley Trilene 100% Fluorocarbon line is probably our favorite fluorocarbon on the market. It is tough and it is perfect for Drop-Shot's, Shakey Heads, and more. You can find it at most Sporting good stores and it isn't very expensive like most fluorocarbon lines. It has lower memory for superior casting and has great impact strength. If you are looking for a quality, affordable line this is it. The Rapala Shad Rap is the best crankbait we throw. The best time to throw it is Fall through Winter and the Pre-Spawn in Spring. We like to throw it on 6-8 pound test line and a medium action spinning rod. The VMC treble hooks on it does a great job hooking them and the natural colors in the Shad Rap makes it look deadly. It is also a great running crankbait and bass love it. On day's when the bass just aren't holding on to your soft plastic, try dipping it in JJ's Magic. This is by far the greatest fish attractant we have ever used. We have went out before using regular soft plastics and not get a bite, but when we dip it in JJ's they start eating it. We love using it on our drop-shot baits, shaky head worms, and jigs. It has a very strong garlic scent and it comes in different colors. Try JJ's Magic the next time you are out fishing. If you don't own a fish head spin, you certainely need to buy one. We have used this product for years and we have always caught bass on it at all times of the year. You can use several different presentations for this bait on 10-15 pound test line and catch bass. Put your favorite trailer on the fish head spin and you are sure to catch big bass. If you want a cheap and quality baitcasting reel, buy the BPS Tourney Special baitcasting reel. For $49.99, you can't beat it. We have fished with this reel for a long time and it is our favorite baitcasting reel yet. It lasts a long time and it is also a tough reel. Put this reel on a Yank-Um Custom Rod and you have a perfect combo. Here is a new bait from Rapala called the X-Rap Countdown. You can use the countdown method with this bait just like you could the original countdown. It flutters when it sinks and it has a big wobble. They have all of the original x-rap colors in this bait and it is 2.75 inches. We look foward to using this bait. Here is the new Rapala BX Minnow and BX Swimmer. They are very nice looking baits with awesome paint job's. The Minnow dives 3-5 feet deep and it is 4 inches in length and has a Balsa body inside. The BX swimmer dives 4-6 feet deep and has a Balsa body inside. The Minnow is Floating and the Swimmer is sinking. Rapala is coming out with a lot of new Baits and colors and we will be posting more on there new baits. Here is a picture of Yank-Um's Tennessee Tornado buzzbait. It has got two blades which puts more vibration out and more noise. We have been catching a lot of Bass on it and it helped Adam's father win a tournament. He caught a Spotted Bass over four pounds on it at night. It is one of the greatest buzzbaits we have ever throwed. It will be avaible at Land Big Fish's website http://www.landbigfish.com/ |
